One by One Ministries is an outreach program that matches a Christian woman with a new or expectant mother. The mom and the mentor meet one hour per month until the baby is one year old. They discuss prenatal concerns and newborn development as they “scrapbook” a baby book. Woven into the program is God’s amazing love and care for each of us. It is a unique opportunity for evangelism through friendship and a supportive relationship for a woman who may be in a very frightening part of her life.
In the last year One by One Ministries has become national but the most exciting developments for me have been local. We now have a connection with the pregnancy center - Alpha Omega - and at one point, we had 40 women requesting mentors. Arrangements have been made for mentor training to take place in Kerrville on April 10th at the Soul Cafe from 8:30 - 4:30.
There will be a lunchen following the March 28th services to meet and share more information about the program.
